Dear diary,

I experience two conflicting emotions rolling over me like storm surges.

First comes the blinding sense of dread- fear that I am about leap into the great unknown and will never be able to return.

Slowly I regain the ability to breathe only to be swept up by an exhilarating belief that “Yes! I am about to leap into a great unknown and there’ll be no return”.

The book preview event is in a week and a half. All systems are go.

In terms of the book, I am just waiting now on the final cover design to sign off and then it’s off to the printers.

What a way to start the new year!
