The Monday before Christmas

Angele Toomey Avatar

This morning the transit authority, due to operational issues, converted the timetable to a hybrid mix of half-hourly/all stops services.  I am lucky, I don’t work for a clock watcher and I don’t get paid per unit produced…but a lot of people do! So that got me to thinking, and I’ve been blogging long enough for us to know that can spell trouble!

So today I am off festive-related musings and back to more common ground…

Traveling down the line
Strangers
waiting
Searching
for things
on small screens
Wasting
time
waiting
to travel down the line
Dreaming
“What if…
I just started walking?”

A stranger
waiting
Anticipating
the crumbling
of lives, lies,
and their disguise
Wondering
everything
and nothing
Waiting for their time
to travel down the line
find out what could be
amongst the uncertainty
No mystery
identity:
The stranger is me.
