Poetry Boot Camp Day 12: poetry about the economy

Yes, it’s a thing…and the economy doesn’t have to be boring, per se, and you should buy a copy of my book! 🙂

Harbour of industry

Go see the shiny bright stars

Give them your welcome, your fanfare

Hear the engines of the economy

Delivering dividends for every share.

All this activity I see from a vantage point

Several steps removed from there.

I see mini-figure workers moving containers with cranes,

Transferring logs that have left mountains bare.

The wharves are the heart of the city, the economy,

Sending our precious resources as though we have spare.

Ships comes and go like tidal flow,

and for this moment I just stare.
